Ashitare

Ashitare

Ashitare is a werewolf who Nakago discovered in a circus, where he was a side show. Due to what he is Ashitare was shunned and disliked by humans where ever he went. This made him bitter and caused his to divelope a hatred for humans. This means that he would kill humans and then devour their flesh after woods. After soi's failure Nakago sends Ashitare to obtain the Shinzaho. He does this but only after he has killed Nuriko, however before he dies Nuriko brakes Ashitare's neck. His human form killed the beast inside him takes over the whole of Ashitare's body and he becomes a wolf. As a wolf he successfully steals the Shinzaho from Miaka and delivers it to Nakago. With his usefullness exausted Nakago kills Ashitare. His Symbol means Tail and is located on the lower right hand side of his back and his Constellation is Scorpio.

Tomo

Tomo

Tomo possess a very hard and difficult childhood and due to this he is ruthless and cruel. He is a master of Hynosses and because of this can trap people in imagenary worlds, which they beleive are true. Tomo uses a clam or a Shin to trap his victims in these inmagenary worlds or to create an inlussion, which looks and feels real but it actuely isn't. He also uses this Shin to place himself into these imagenary worlds where he can harm them. He traps Miaka in one such world where he hoped to take her virginaty so that she can never be a priestess. However he is twarted by Amiboshi and then is killed by Suboshi for trying to kill his brother. Tomo's Sumbol means Root and located on the lower right hand sode of his Abdomen and his Constellation is Libra.

Soi

Soi

Soi is the only female warrior that is seen through out the story. She was born into a poor family and due to this was sold to provide money for her family. She first meets Nakago when he rescues her from a man who is trying to rape her. At that moment she fell in love with him and because of this will do any thing for him. Unlike most of the Seiryu warriors she has no desire to hurt Miaka but trys to kill her any way because it is Nakago's bidding. Soi dies in the battle between Kuto and Konan whalst protecting Nakago. She puts herself between Tasuki's sword and Nakago. After this her body id carried by Nakago until he passes from the book to Yui's world. Her Symbol means Room and is located on her left thigh and her Constellation is Scorpio.

Suboshi

Suboshi

Suboshi is Amiboshi's twin brother and is very protective of his brother. As a result of this when Amiboshi apparently dies Suboshi wishes to seek revenge on the Suzaku because he beleives that it was them that killed his brother. Still beleiving in this it causes Suboshi to murder Tamahomes family. It also causes him to almost kill Tamahome, Miaka and Nuriko aswell because he is so full of anger that he wants to distroy the Suzaku. Howver when he learns that his brother is alive he is delighted however his brother is being attacked by Tomo so Suboshi kills Tomo.

Amiboshi

Amiboshi

Amiboshi had a very bad child, when he was just Seven he and his brother witnessedthe death of their parents in a civil war. Long after this he meets Miaka and inpersonates Chiriko to carry out Nakago's orders. However these orders are thwarted and Amiboshi has to run for it. However he falls into a fast flowing river and apparently dies. However Miaka discovers that he is not dead and also discovers that he is a kind person at heart, when he helps he.

Nakago

Nakago

Nakago used to lie with his mother in a little colony, which lived on the out skirts of Kuto however one day Kuto soldiers attacked the colony and a young Nakago witnessed his being raped. Seeing this is power was revealed and he blew apart his own mother and four other soldiers. Ever sinse he has been a Genral in the Kuto empire and has used this to get revenge on the Emprour of kuto who gave him hell as a child. During the story we see Nakago manipulating Yui to gain what he wants. However Yui sees what he is really doing with the help of Miaka. Soon after Tamahome and Nakago have a fight and Tamahome kills Nakago.

Yui

Yui

Yui is Miaka'a best friend, until she helps Miaka escape from The Universe of the Four Gods. you see Yui was taken in exchange for Miaka, except she was taken to Kuto, where she is attacked. at first she beleives she was raped. She meets a Seiryu warrior called Nakago and after that Yui trusts him with her life. She is then manipulated into beleiving that Miaka was to blame for what happened to her. However she wasn't really raped and so she goes against her best friend and almost kills her for nothing. However right at the end she learns the truth and helps Miaka defeat Nakago.

Chiriko

Chiriko

Chiriko first met Miaka and the other warriors when they where in the middle of the Summoning ceromeny for Suzaku. This was because they beleived that they had all the warriors when infact one of them was a Seiryu. However he wasn't in time and the Summoning Ceromeny faild. But Chiriko set out with the other warriors on another adventure and through out proves to be a good friend. Chiriko, being the youngest, is also the weakest and this is what eventuely brings him down, because a Seiryu warrior possesses him, but he regains control for a moment and stabs himself eventuely killing himself and the Seiryu warrior. Chiriko's Symbol means Extended Net and is located on his left foot and his Constellation is Hydra.

Mitsukake

Mitsukake

Mitsukake met Miaka soon after she Tasuke in a villiage filled with living zombies. He as soon as he met Miaka he hilled her of the plague that had been spreading through out the villiage. Mitsukake has a kind and gentle personality but when he is angry or is protecting his friends he proves that he is a true warrior of Suzaku and also that he is a true friend as well. He didn't have a very good childhood, first his mother died of an illness when he was eight, then his father died whalst helping people in the same flood that killed Chichiri's family and then his loved one, Shōka, died of an illness, whalst Mitsukake was in another village curing people. Since then he has devoted himself to curing the sick and helping the wounded. His Symbol means Chariot and is located on his left palm and his Constalleation is Corvus.

Tasuki

Tasuki

Tasuki first met Miaka when he captured her from the mountain bandits. However once their differences has been sorted out they became good friends, apart from Tasuki constantly saying how he hated women. At first Tusuki didn't tell Miaka that he was a cellestrail warrior. Instead he told them that Tasuki was their old leader who had died. Desbrate to get the 5th warrior Miaka set out to find someone who could bring the dead back, however she was attacked by zombies but Tasuko saved them and then told them the truth. Through out the story Tasuki proves himself as a true warrior of Suzaku and a great friend as well. Tasuki's Symbol means Wings and is located on his right forearm and his constellation is Crater.

Chichiri

Chichiri

Miaka first met Chichiri when he resqued her from a attack which could of killed her. He then saved her again from a Kuto plot on her life at Tamahome's home. After that Chichiri has proved himself as a true warriour and a good friend who you can trust. Chichiri’s symbol is the Sho, (well) and is located on his right knee. His skills are Ki blasts, teleportation and form changing. He also has a scar which has robbed him of his left eye. This was due to a fight with his best friend, Hikou. The fight was all about a misunderstanding and the death of Chichiri's Fiancée. During the fight a near by river burst its banks and that battle field was flooded. Hikou fell in and Chichiri, being his friend grabbed his hand in an attempt to save him. However a fallen log hit Chichiri in the face. In pain Chichiri realled back and in doing so let go of his friends hand and HIkou fell to his death. After that Chichiri trained for three years at the teachings of Taiitsukun, he alos keeps his scar as a reminder of what happened to his friend.

Nuriko

Nuriko

Nuriko meets Miaka at Hotohori's palace where she appears to be a women. At first Miaka and Nuriko don't get on because Nuriko is in love with Hotohori, who is love with Miaka, who is in love with Tamahome, but once that is all sorted out Nuriko and Miaka become the best of friends. To everyone else Nuriko seems to be a women but yet again Miaka discovers the truth and learns that Nuriko is actuely a man. She also discovers that the reason Nuriko dressed as a women was because he lost his little sister when they where both young and he wanted to keep her spirit alive so he dressed like her to remember her. Nuriko’s character is the Willow and is located under his left collarbone, and his power is great strength but this doesn't save him from Ashitare who kills Nuriko in the mountins of Genbu.

Hotohori

Hotohori

Hotohori is the second celestrial warriour that Miaka meets, he is also the emprour of Konan. Hotohori is also a man who loves Miaka but he soon learns that her feelings are for Tamahome. Even so he still protects her with his life and is there is she needs someone to talk to if Tamahome is not there. Hotohori’s constellation is the star and his symbol is located on his neck. His talent is sword fighting and fencing, but that is properly because he has had the best teachers ever since he has been a child.

Tamahome

Tamahome

Tamahome is the first celestrial warriour that Miaka meets and instantly there is a bound between the two of them which develipes into pure love from both of them for the other. Tamahome's mark appears only when he is fighting and is located on his forhead. He has a father, two younger brothers and two younger sisters, who are called in order: Chuei, Shunkei, Gyokuran, Yuiren. Unfortunetly all of his family where killed by a Seiryu warriour in an act of revenge. After that Tamahome promised Miaka that he would protect her with his life and he has proved this many times.

Miaka

Miaka Yuki

Miaka Yuki is a 15 year old high school student living in Japan with her mother and her older brother. One day however Miaka and her friend Yui discover an ancient Chinese book called The Universe Of The Four Gods. once they start to read the book they are both whisked away to ancient china where they encounter some bandits. after being helped out by a good looking guy Yui is returned to her world while Miaka stays in china. After traveling around a bit she soon find the man who helped her, Tamahome. She and him are then arrested by the emprour and thrown into jail. After an explantion Miaka becomes the Priestess of Suzaku and travles around ancient China incoutering many dangers on her way but always deffeating them. With the power of Suzaku and the love of Tamahome, Miaka summons Suzaku and saves not only ancient China but also her own world.

Story

The story is of a 15 year old Japanese girl who is transported by a magic book to ancient china, where she becomes the Priestess of Sukaku. In doing so she then has to find all 7 of her celestrial warriours and together face many dangers to win the battle of servival.
